The Twits - Roald Dahl, Quentin Blake This was a very good, very quick read about the Twits, a nasty old married couple who love to play dirty tricks on each other and be mean to the world in general. It teaches a great lesson: the more negativity and bad thoughts you have and dwell on, the more it will stick with you and make you ugly on the outside. I'm really looking forward to babysitting my cousin's 4-year-old daughter this weekend so I can read this to her. It has some really gross descriptions that I think she'll enjoy. She's already terrified of men with beards so the bit about Mr. Twit's revolting beard probably won't do much more damage. Plus it has monkeys, and what 4-yr-old doesn't love monkeys? I'm just hoping she'll learn to think twice before pouting and throwing a temper tantrum because she might grow up to be a Twit.
